Online Roulette

Roulette is an online casino game of gambling. The word ‘Roulette’ is a French word, meaning ‘small wheel’. In this game, the dealer first spins a wheel in one direction and thereafter, spins a ball in the other direction around a tilted surface circular in shape which runs around the circumference of the wheel. The dealer is also known as a ‘croupier’ in American terms, who takes bets and pays out them to the players who win. Once the ball spins off, it falls over the wheel, where the wheel has 37 to 38 coloured and numbered pockets. In Europe, it is 37 pockets and in America, it is 38 pockets. The players are required to put bets on the winning number and the pocket colour, be it an even number or an odd number.

Wheel Layout

As said earlier, the wheel is topped over with coloured and numbered pockets, which generally range from 1 to 36, and their colours are basically altered between red and black. These pockets are not adjusted serial-wise but randomly around the wheel, with many a times the consecutive numbers being the same colour. There is also a pocket numbered as 0, which is green in colour. In American roulette, there are two green pockets with numbers 0 and 00 on them.

Betting

The players have an option to put multiple ‘inside’ bets and ‘outside’ bets. In case of inside bets, the players can select the pocket number on which the ball will land, or they can choose from the range of pockets on the basis of their position. In case of outside bets, the bets are placed on different positions of pockets, the colours of these pockets and numbers thereon. Each type of bet has its payout based on its probability. Generally the table has minimum and maximum bets, which are applied for each of the player’s spin for inside and outside bets. Until the dealer or the croupier announces ‘No more bets’, players can keep placing their bets on each hand on the table.
